Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument
Pristine sky, where the Milky Way casts shadows on the ground.
Grand Canyon-Parashant is one of the least visited and most remote national monuments in the country, and that remoteness is exactly what makes it exceptional for stargazing. Spanning over a million acres of the Arizona Strip north of the Grand Canyon, it holds a Dark Sky Sanctuary designation covering skies that rival anything in the contiguous United States. There are no paved roads and no visitor facilities inside the monument boundary. Come fully prepared.
