The first International Dark Sky Park ever designated in New England, the AMC Maine Woods covers 76,000 acres of the 100-Mile Wilderness region in northern Maine. Three Appalachian Mountain Club wilderness lodges sit inside the park boundary, making it one of the rare certified dark sky parks where you can sleep under the protected sky.
