Zion National Park
Truly dark sky, with the zodiacal light clearly visible.
The most visited national park in the United States, certified in 2021. The canyon itself creates a dramatic corridor of sky from the valley floor. The best sky watching is from the canyon rim, accessible via the Angels Landing trail or the East Rim. The park runs free astronomy programs at the Zion Human History Museum amphitheater. Despite the crowds, canyon walls block ambient light remarkably well on a moonless night.
